Flying is an uncomfortable business, we all know that, what with having to battle over armrests and climbing over your seatmates to get to the bathroom.

But of all the frustrations on board a flight, the reclining seat is probably the WORST.

But finally one airline has listened and banned the reclining seat outright. Here News24 Travel reader Photini Palm shares her  frustration regarding the matter.

You can read the original story here.

"Truly very frustrating when people have no consideration for those behind them!

The setting on the recline should be just one back, where you are sitting slightly back and not bolt upright, that way you are slightly comfortable but not hogging the guys space behind you totally.

I fly regularly to Athens Greece with my husband and we have mastered the art of pushing forward with our hands as the passenger in front for the first 5 to 10 minutes tries desperately to encroach on our space, after a while they resign to the fact that there is something wrong with their seat and finally give up.

Prior to that, the passengers would get annoyed if you needed to excuse yourself and woke them up in order to do so. I would definitely say recline to first position only but not the whole way! Hope this helps on "save us from the CRUNCH!"
