#TTOT: Sips and Tastes - The Global Kitchen

2014-04-29 15:56
Cape Town - If it’s one thing today’s Travel Talk on Twitter showed us, is that food has the magical power to trump prejudice, cross borders, bridge language gaps and unite all foodies across the world.

The topic “Sips and Tastes - The Global Kitchen” had travellers sharing some of the greatest tastebud experiences they’ve had with one another.
What was even great about this TTOT was that people even exchanged recipes of meal they’ve had during their travels.
Om nom nom!

Here are the questions and some of our favourite answers from today’s talk:

Q1 What is the best foodie trip you have ever done and why?

Q2 Have you ever traveled to a country to only try its food? Which country was it?

Q3 What food you've tried while travelling has been a pleasant surprise?

Q4 What dishes/recipes from your travels do you still cook after you returned?

Q5 Do you value learning about the culinary culture of the country you're visiting?

If you're a keen traveller who likes to share tales, tips and trifles with other wanderers, you should head on over to twitter every Tuesday for Travel Talk on Twitter, also known as #TTOT.

Taking place every week at 11:30 (SA time), the chat is run by a few of the world's top travel bloggers, such as Travel Dudes, Roni Weiss and Runaway Juno, and aimed at getting travellers from all over the world to sharing their experiences. How it works: A new topic is introduced every week, so to stay in the loop by keeping close tabs on the TTOT Facebook group.

The discussion takes the form of five different questions related to the topic and will be numbered Q1 - Q5, with a couple of minutes for responses to each. In order to respond to a specific question you will start your answer with A1, 2, 3, 4 or 5, of course including #TTOT so you're included in the stream.

Check out the Travel Talk on Twitter Facebook page for updates about upcoming chats.
