"Good day, I’m responding to your add. My friend and I travelled to JHB last year May (for the Bon Jovi Concert). We flew with SAA and our luggage was sealed with locks and cable ties.

We only realised when we arrived at our accommodation that our bags were tampered with. The locks were broken and cable ties were removed. Fortunately nothing was stolen, but our cosmetic bags were open and make up etc was all over the bags.

Shampoo bottles were opened which also made a mess of our clothes. We kept our cameras and valuables on us (thank goodness) or else I’m sure that would have been gone

Just the fact that some stranger scratched through your personal belongings is not only disturbing but you feel violated.

We phoned the airport but they said they’re not liable for anything as nothing was stolen, we reported the matter regardless."
