Cheetah Plain Private Game Reserve - positioned in the 65 000 ha Sabi Sand Reserve enjoys the luxury of only eight thatched chalets with an authentic and understated indigenous design. The chalets are elegantly equipped with all the luxuries of the city, but continue to exude a rustic sense of old-living – ensuring an authentic bush experience.

To enhance the subtle luxury and unpretentious atmosphere, after careful consideration, the decision was made to keep the lodge as a unique and affordable getaway.  To this end the refurbishment at Cheetah Plains includes rebuilding the outside decks as well as paving the outside areas. Keeping a winning combination of rustic luxury and homeliness, the individual chalets will boast new furniture, a fresh coat of paint, newly designed throws, cushions and pictures.

Cheetah Plains will remain a place where guests can kick off their shoes under rolling blue African skies and laze on the sofa with a glass of wine in hand and chat excitedly about the animal encounters of the day.

With the best of both worlds in mind Cheetah Plains, together with the award-winning Grand Daddy Hotel and Jaci’s Lodges, have combined an exceptional bush and city/beach journey for you to enjoy. Be assured of “exceptional safaris and city experiences…with a smile.”

Add three nights’ stay to your itinerary in top global destination, Cape Town, and enjoy a vibey urban experience at the Grand Daddy Hotel on the famous Long Street in the city centre. Or, if you want more of the bush, book a stay at Jaci’s Lodges in Madikwe, a malaria-free reserve on the edge of the Kalahari, famous for its wild dog sightings.
