11 Surprisingly Loveable Airlines

It's the small things that matter when one travels on a budget.

Leading global flight search site, Skyscanner, has conducted a survey of over 1000 passengers on the features they want to find on their dream aircraft, SA Tourism Update reports.

The survey comes after the announcement that the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, which is set to fly from Tokyo to Singapore this September with other Asian routes to follow soon after, brings with it a variety of new features in an attempt to improve the on-board experience.

Survey results:

Capsule-style bunks - 20%

Sound-proof sections for children - 18%

Anti-kick seats - 8%

Massaging chairs - 8%

Free use of iPads - 5%

Transparent floors and ceilings - 5%

Singles section - 4%

Showers - 4%

Cinema - 3%

Cocktail bar - 2%

Other - 23%

Skyscanner's Director for Asia Pacific, Ewan Gray said that he was not surprised that sound-proof sections and anti-kick seats scored so highly on the list. ""As a parent, I've flown with my one-year-old child long-haul between Skyscanner's offices in Edinburgh and Singapore and can understand the stress that travelling with children can bring for both the parents themselves and others seated around them," he told Travel Daily News.
