1time cuts Mombasa route

Johannesburg - Beleaguered low-cost airline, 1time, has announced in a statement that it will halt operations between Johannesburg and Mombasa from September 17, Tourism Update reports.

"While the debt relief process will allow 1time to continue operating while we resolve the outstanding issues and prepare to emerge as a healthier company, part of the process will be to strengthen our profitable routes and to terminate non-profitmaking destinations," said 1time CEO, Blacky Komani.

"As Mombasa is one of our newest routes still in ‘development phase', it is with regret that we announce that we will suspend operations as of September 17 until such time that we are able to recommence this service," he continued.
