Cape Town - Why is this frame so big? The better to see Table Mountain with, the response should read. A new frame, in a series of seven to be erected in the city, has been situated in Eden on the Bay, Blouberg.

The frame provides an idyllic vantage point for visitors to photograph friends, family … and pets with the mountain as a spectacular backdrop.

The frames are sponsored by Table Mountain Aerial Cableway Company and the interactive artwork is also an official World Design Capital 2014 project. As with previous frames unveiled at the V&A Waterfront and Signal Hill, the temporary frame provides an eye-catching perspective of one of nature’s New 7 Wonders, with the public encouraged to share their photos on - the Table Mountain website.

“Eden on the Bay has a ‘picture perfect’ view of Table Mountain,” says Yolande Karsten, Centre Manager of Eden on the Bay.

Sabine Lehmann, MD of Table Mountain Aerial Cableway Company said that it was a wonderful way to celebrate nature’s perfect design of Table Mountain.
