Cape Town – If you’ve ever travelled alone, you will know that one of the greatest problems is getting a decent photo or two of yourself in your favourite destinations. You could always ask a random stranger to take one for you, but you never know if they might run off with your camera/phone. So, more and more people are opting for the good old selfie. This form of photography has gotten a lot of attention in the past few months, with Time even putting a list together of the ‘selfiest’ cities in the world, on which South Africa hardly featured. Well, Buzzfeed has put a little list of their own together - The 17 Most Stunning Places In The World To Take A Selfie – and guess what… Cape Town makes the grade! Yup, the Mother City came in at number 7, with Boulders Beach and its adorable penguins getting a special mention. Earlier this year Huffington Post named Lion’s Head the perfect spot for daredevil Instagrams. Our neighbouring tourist attraction, Vic Falls, made second position and Norway’s Trolltunga was number one. These are Buzzfeed’s top 10: 1. Trolltunga in Norway 2. Vic Falls, Zimbabwe 3. Hoi An, Vietnam 4. Mineral Beach, the Dead Sea, Israel 5. Chittorgarh Fort, India 6. Yellowstone National Park, US 7. Cape Town, South Africa 8. Zion National Park, Utah 9. Dog sledding in Canada 10.
