2013-07-03 13:36
Cape Town – Some call it the Mother City, others call it the Cape of Storms.  One thing is for sure, the city continues to carry the flag for the African continent when it comes to top places for tourists to visit.

Travel and Leisure recently released the results of its World’s Best Awards in 2013 and Cape Town is the only African city to make the list of the most loved destinations for travellers at the moment.
TripAdvisor recently did a survey, calculating the cost of a night out in a variety of cities around the world for their TripIndex Cities list, also naming Cape Town as a cheap city for travellers.

The survey, conducted from December 2012 to April 2013, was based on a number of elements. It took into account airlines, hotels, spas, tour guides and car rental agencies in order to determine the overall winners. Following is the final cities list that sees South Africa claiming fourth place.

World’s best cities in 2013

1.    Bangkok, Thailand
2.    Istanbul, Turkey
3.    Florence, Italy
4.    Cape Town, South Africa
5.    Kyoto, Japan
