Hunter's eXtreme Ultimate X challenge

2014-02-03 11:27
Cape Town- South Africa's largest extreme sporting event, The Hunter's eXtreme Ultimate X took place on 1 February at the V & A Waterfront.
Now in its 5th year, this highly anticipated event featured FMX, BMX, wakeboarding and skateboarding.

FMX: Freestyle Motocross was an epic part of the event, as participants took to the tracks (and sky) to show off their epic motocross skills.

The other side of danger: Spine chilling stunts were the order of the day as motorcross riders defied gravity and upped their chances of getting a shot at the cash prize.

Skating:  What started out as wooden boxes with roller skate wheels attached to the bottom, has evolved into a popular sport and form of expression. Hunter’s eXtreme Utlimate X challenge says that this is probably the most contested skateboarding competition SA has ever seen.

BMX:  Backflips and tailwhips were the name of the game as BMX riders took to an upgraded park which allowed them to show the world what they're made of.

Radical moves

Wakeboarding:  Developed from a combination of water skiing, snowboarding and surfing techniques, this sport showcased some of the most talented wakeboarders in the country.

And the winners are:  The winners were treated to an attractive cash prize where first place received R20 000, second place R8 000, and third place R4 000 in each category. For the full list of winners visit:
