More free wi-fi available in Cape Town

2013-10-15 07:42
Cape Town - The Cape Town Partnership has extended its drive for free wi-fi in the city to Harrington Square.

My Broadband reports Harrington Square in District Six has been offering free Wi-Fi to visitors from 11 October 2013 and it forms part of a project of the Cape Town Partnership, Connected Space, District Six Museum, Charly’s Bakery, Woodheads, and The Bank.

It is said to be a step towards using Harrington Square as a public hub and cultural heart.

The providers of the free wi-fi Connected Space – the same company that is offering free Wi-Fi in Gardens - said the service was geared towards social media, e-mails and general surfing  but not high speed downloads.

Users can expect a good quality connection with decent speeds.
