Cape Town - Cape Town based firm, Tourism Radio wants to bring their interactive travel guides together with Google Glass, and give tourists the ultimate experience.

2OceansVibe reports that the company is using American crowdfunding Web site Kickstarter to raise R530 000 for their venture.

They hope to roll the product out in April 2014. CEO Mark Allewell said:

“Backers who pledge funds towards Tourism Radio’s goal will be rewarded with anything from one free travel guide, to the chance to include eight of their own points of interest in a particular city guide and have it translated into any language.”

Allewell envisions future tourists throwing on their glasses, and wandering major cities..

Tourism Radio provides location-based technology and travel content allowing self-drive tourists to receive more information about a certain area when travelling. As the user moves from one place to the next, the information changes accordingly.
