'I believe those who voted for me chose the better vision' - Uhuru Kenyatta

28 November, 03:37 PM

Hundreds gathered at the Kasarani stadium in Nairobi on Tuesday to witness the inauguration of Uhuru Kenyatta, who was sworn in for a second term. Kenyatta's controversial win in the August elections resulted in a second vote.

In his speech Kenyatta thanked his competitors, and pleaded with them to help him serve Kenya without any political affiliations.

"We may have chosen different candidates and different visions, but each one of us voted for a better life", said Kenyatta.

"I too listened carefully to my competitors and in the spirit of inclusiveness, I will endeavor to incorporate some of their ideas."
