21-month-old boy defies the odds, thrives living with Harlequin Ichthyosis

We're joined in studio by Lisa van Dyk, mother to 21-month-old Mason who was born with Harlequin Ichthyosis. This rare disease only affects one in five million babies. Doctors told the van Dyk family Mason would only live between one and five days - he has defied the odds and is now a thriving toddler. Lisa described her pregnancy and delivery, during which she learned of her son's disease. Watch.
