Group wants assisted dying legalised in SA

Helping a terminally ill loved one die, according to South African law, is criminally prosecutable and illegal.

Dignity South Africa is proposing a change to this law by supporting a bill that will allow assisted death to sound-minded, terminally ill patients who have a life expectancy of 12 months or fewer.
