HEADLINES: SABC resists Icasa, N2 closed near Ballito, Mi Casa gets cooking

The South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) has insisted it will resist a ruling on its editorial policy.

SABC board chairperson Mbulaheni Maguvhe said the decision not to broadcast violent protests and damage to property is right. "I maintain we are right." 

Demonstrators from Shaka's Head near Ballito closed off the N2 and adjacent roads on Tuesday morning.

According to a police statement, people were arrested for burning a councillor's house.
