Julius Malema on Winnie Madikizela-Mandela - the woman president SA didn't get

Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) members sang struggle songs outside the Orlando house of icon Winnie Madikizela-Mandela.

Their leader, Julius Malema, began his address by lambasting the men in the ANC.

"Winnie Mandela should have been a president of this country but they were threatened by a woman," he said.

"When you character assassinate Winnie Mandela, you are character assassinating black people; because black people are Winnie Mandela," said Malema as he decried the manner in which "white-owned media" mistreated the struggle stalwart.
