Level 4b water restrictions - what this means for households

Stricter water restrictions (level 4b) for Cape Town came into effect on Saturday, July 1, in an effort by the City of Cape Town to drive down daily collective water usage to 500 million litres.

The Western Cape continues to suffer from one of the worst droughts in a century, with dam levels at an all-time low and winter rains sporadic and uncertain.
