WATCH: Robert McBride's case in NPA's view

16 March, 11:54 AM

Robert McBride is out on R1500 bail until 15 April 2016. He and two co-accused appeared in the Pretoria Magistrate's Court on Wednesday, 16 March 2016. The three accused had to hand over their passports, too.

The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) alleges McBride was involved in the illegal rendition of five Zimbabweans from South Africa. McBride previously told News24's Genevieve Quintal he was being hounded for doing his job.

McBride is also accused of omitting former Hawks boss Anwar Dramat's name from a report looking into the matter. The NPA has accused McBride of doing so in order to protect Dramat.
