WATCH: EFF demonstators, Malema at court #StateCapture

01 November, 12:44 PM

On Tuesday afternoon EFF leader Julius Malema arrived in court to hear proceedings on the so-called state capture report.

The EFF is among several opposition parties trying to get the Public Protector's so-called state capture report released.

President Jacob Zuma has applied for a court order to bar the report's release into the public domain, saying he had insufficient time to answer questions.

In fact the Public Protector sent Zuma a few letters notifying him of the report's compilation and inviting him to answer questions.

EFF supporters gathered outside lobbying for the release of the report while proceedings took place in the North Gauteng High Court on Tuesday.

It includes details on the appointment of short-lived Finance Minister David 'Des' van Rooyen.

The report also details government's efforts to intervene between South African banks and Gupta-owned businesses, after four banks dismissed the Guptas as clients.
