WATCH: Five highlights from fees report

President Jacob Zuma on Monday released the long-awaited Heher Commission report on higher education and training fees.

Zuma established the Heher Commission in January 2016 to investigate university fees.

It was chaired by Honourable Justice Jonathan Arthur Heher, and assisted by Adv. Gregory Ally and Ms Leah Thabisile Khumalo.

While retired judge Heher outlined, in the fees commission report, that the state could not provide free tertiary education, he said TVET colleges should be fee-free for all.
