WATCH: Laid-back thieves steal electronics worth R100 000

06 May, 01:30 PM

Watch as three laid-back robbers break into a shop in Port Shepstone and steal electronics.

According to a report by South Coast Fever, the suspects stole laptops and computers worth an estimated R100 000.

Ten days after the break-in matter is still "being investigated" and no arrests have been made, Port Shepstone police spokesperson Lieutenant-Colonel Zandra Wiid told News24 Live in an emailed statement.

Watch the relaxed break-in happen in minutes on Sunday, 24 April. It was published on the Hibiscus Coast Crime Alert page on Facebook (see here).

According to the same South Coast Fever story police only responded to an alarm triggered by the break-in two-and-a-half hours after the incident.

Sugan Naidoo of the South Coast Herald reports a security guard notified police of the break-in as it happened.

The same guard saw one of the suspects rip an alarm siren from the shop wall before the three left with their loot.
