WATCH | Panyaza Lesufi releases report into Enock Mpianzi's death at school camp

Gauteng Education MEC Panyaza Lesufi is expected to release the education department's report into the death of 13-year-old Enock Mpianzi, who drowned at a Parktown Boys' High School Grade 8 orientation camp.

Mpianzi was last seen on last Wednesday during a water activity on the first day of the camp at Nyati Bush and River Break lodge, near Brits in the North West. At the time, a makeshift raft he and other boys were on overturned on the Crocodile River.

Since the tragedy, there have been a plethora of questions about what led to the drowning and whether the school was negligent.

The report is being released in Johannesburg.

News24 previously misspelt Mpianzi's first name as "Enoch", based on information provided by members of the family and the education department. It has since been established that the correct spelling is "Enock".
