WATCH | PwC forensic auditor Trevor White continues testimony at state capture commission

21 January, 11:16 AM

PriceWaterhouseCoopers (PwC) forensic auditor Trevor White will continue with his testimony at the judicial commission of inquiry into state capture on Tuesday.

On Monday, White told the commission that officials in the South African Police Service (SAPS) had allegedly intentionally waited for the last minute to secure accommodation for members in order to avoid following proper procurement processes in the awarding of multimillion rand tenders.

He was referring to accommodation tenders worth R60m, which were all awarded to controversial businessman Thoshan Panday during the 2010 World Cup by the KwaZulu-Natal SAPS supply chain management, News24 reported.

His testimony has placed a spotlight on the alleged capture of law enforcement agencies.
