WATCH: Here's what Madonsela probed for Friday's report

13 October, 05:08 PM

On Thursday President Jacob Zuma announced he plan to apply for a last-minute interdict to stall the Public Protector's release of a draft report on Friday.

A spokesperson for the Public Protector's office said in a television interview that Madonsela was consulting her lawyers following the announcement.

Though the preliminary report scheduled for release on Friday had been widely reported as covering state capture, Madonsela said she and her team looked into three specific allegations.

She outlined those allegations during her Frontline interview with Editor of News24 Adriaan Basson and Head of Video Jerusha Sukhdeo-Raath on Tuesday.

According to one lawyer, Ulrich Roux, until the interdict is heard and a court rules on the application, Madonsela is within her rights to release the report.

Watch to find out what complainants asked the Public Protector to investigate.
