WATCH: Zuma in Zim day after #StateCaptureReport release

03 November, 04:02 PM

President Jacob Zuma arrived in Harare, Zimbabwe on Thursday for a bilateral conference.

Zuma touched down on Thursday morning to welcome from Zimbabwe's top brass.

He then delivered an address to Africa's longest-standing President Robert Mugabe on partnership between the two countries.

"We meet here today at a time the world is facing many challenges. Our own countries have not escaped these challenges," said Zuma.

"The global economic environment has been unforgiving and highly fluid due to declining commodity prices and volatile currency fluctuations, stifling GDP growth.

"Our deliberations will be incomplete if we do not take a moment to also reflect on the global operational space we find ourselves in and its impact on our economies."

Zuma's visit follows the release of a highly anticipated report on allegations of misconduct against Zuma, the Gupta family and senior government officials.
