Ntini begs Cricket SA boss to bring the game back to the Eastern Cape

Cricket South Africa unveiled the trophy for its newest twenty20 tournament, the Africa T20 Cup, on Thursday August 28 at the Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg. 

Tournament ambassador Makhaya Ntini emphasised the need for this tournament to develop young and emerging black cricketers in the country, especially in his home province of the Eastern Cape. 

The Africa T20 Cup will start on Friday September 4 in Benoni with Kenya, Zimbabwe and Namibia joining provincial teams for a monthlong festival of cricket.
