Ahmadinejad: Prove nuclear claims

2011-11-23 18:53

Tehran - Iran's president says the West needs to prove its claims that Tehran seeks to build nuclear weapons and that it's not up to his country to disprove the allegations.

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's remarks come in the wake of a new report by the UN nuclear watchdog suggesting Iranian work toward developing atomic weapons.

Ahmadinejad says Iran is not pursuing nuclear weapons and that it's impossible to prove something that doesn't exist. His speech Wednesday to a group of supporters near Tehran was broadcast on state TV.

Ahmadinejad also warned Iran would treat any country that freezes its assets as a "thief".

After the latest IAEA report, the US, Canada and Britain imposed new, tougher sanctions on Tehran targeting its oil and petrochemical industries and the banking system.

He is as trustworthy as any terrorist would be- not at all. Would he give free access to inspectors? No!

      Steenbra - 2011-11-23 20:06

And didnt the Nuclear inspectors find proof of weapons of destruction in Iraq.. And the chief inspector died mysteriously after finding no proof.. So who is to be trusted... The CIA, Georgie Bush and his cohorts.. Tony Blair,

      fishycraig - 2011-11-23 20:52

Errr... Steenbra. Bush and Blair are kinda out of office. Might have noticed that if you read the news.

Israel is also not to be trusted like a terrorist. It refuses to sign IAEA or open itself up for inspection. So why are they demanding this of Iran.

  • Steenbra - 2011-11-23 20:03

And he is right... 10 or so years ago Saddam 'had weapons of mass distruction' and that has still to be found. The only thing that was found is control of the oil wells by the americans.

      Adam - 2011-11-23 21:58

sadam didnt have a giant nuclear program going on - that kinda is the proof. israel bombed iraqs nuclear facility way back in the day

      cameronrh1 - 2012-01-01 21:31

Sadam actually did a nuclear programe, until Israel blew up the plant lol

  • Barry - 2011-11-24 07:07

If there there is a nuclear weapons program in Iran. Where is the proof ? Seems there is a lot of talk about it but no proof.

      Adam - 2011-11-24 09:31

the IAEA said they have proof iran is enriching their uranium beyond energy producing levels.... i believe that counts as proof

      Barry - 2011-11-24 17:35

Words meaning nothing really. There should be tangible proof.

Dreams are things that happen at night when you sleep. If they happen at day time when you are awake, they are called hallucinations. It's called the American Dream because you have to be asleep to believe it." George Carlin

War, weapons design, development and manufacture, systems technology and strategic tactics for deployment are all jobs in the western capitalist model. Warmongering nations like America, Britain, France, etc, have armament industries that need to be working flat out! Warmongering nations need to gain control of scarce resources so as to stop competitors like China and India.

Not a single credible peiece of concreate evidence exist that Iran, is building newclear weapons. The IAEA has never ever produced any evidence to such a programme. In fact the last report the IAEA issued regarding this issue was dismissed by many, was based on old evidence supplied to them by (guess who) the good old CIA and its side kick Mossad )which was already published before, only this time it was spiced up a little to make it look more threating. Many people are unaware that the last regurgated report issued by the IAEA was based on so called evidence supplied to them by the CIA , and we all know their trade in crime is not a pretty one. The IAEA reports that are soley based on so called evidence supplied to them by rouge western agents like the CIA can never ever be put forward as reliable and trustworthy , as they work to American Zionist agenda that aim is regime change in Iran , which brings Iran and it vast resources under American Zionist hegemony.
