Family quiet on health of George HW Bush

2012-12-28 22:32

Houston - The Bush family is keeping quiet on former US president George HW Bush's health condition.

The 88-year-old has been hospitalised since November 23, first for a bronchitis-related cough and more recently with a lingering fever.

Bush's spokesperson and a Texas hospital spokesperson did not immediately respond to messages left by The Associated Press on Friday morning.

A spokesperson said on Thursday that only changes in Bush's condition would prompt updates.

The most recent word came on Thursday evening, when Bush released a statement mourning the death of retired General Norman Schwarzkopf. Schwarzkopf led the Bush-assembled international military coalition that in 1991 routed Iraqi forces who invaded Kuwait.

You negative commentators are obvious morons. You are thinking of his son who happens to have the same name. This former president only pushed Saddam out of Kuwait after he attacked it. Dont know how this makes him a mass murderer! Idiots!

No tuner, we know exactly who Bush senior is!!! Since 1990, more than 2 million Iraqi infants and children dead because of US lead sanctions started by Bush. That's just one aspect of Bush-led US foreign policy!! So Tuner, catch a wake-up call, and get ur facts straight before u insult people and embarrass urself on a public forum.

So according to your thinking any president who imposes sacntions is a mass murderer. So Obama is one as well because of sanctions against Iran and I suppose in your thinking Saddam wasn't one. Prejudice. If Saddam was capable of waging a war against Kuwait (for starters), don't you think he should have been capable of feeding his country. You are trying to be too clever and you are not succeeding.

"So according to your thinking any president who imposes sacntions is a mass murderer. So Obama is one as well because of sanctions against Iran" You are dead right on both accounts, Obama has even taken mass killing further through his drone program. The ex US Sec. of State Mdeline Albright said that the deaths of 500,000 Iraqi CHILDREN during the sanctions was "worth it". How did the fate of millions of people around the world fall into the hands of a tiny group of self-serving psychopaths?

At no point have I defended Sadam, in fact he was a murderer and a tyrant. The point I'm trying to make is that Bush was not a liberator, he most definitely has blood on he's hands. The War in 1990 was not about Kuwaiti or Iraqi liberation, but a prelude to US control of Mid-east oil. And again I will mention that this is just one aspect of Bush-led US foreign policy.

Ja, vrek jou hond! Let us not forget that it was this Bush that imposed the sanctions on Iraq.

Omar, Saddam was butchering Kurds & other Muslims not of his sect long before Bush got involved. From what you have written obviously you and Saddam are from the same sect 'Sunni`s.
