Flotilla leader: We won't harm troops

2011-06-28 11:00

Jerusalem - An organiser of a Gaza-bound flotilla is dismissing Israeli allegations that extremists aboard the ships plan to harm Israeli soldiers who would be dispatched to stop them.

Dror Feiler says the hundreds of people planning to sail soon in a bid to break Israel's naval blockade of the Palestinian territory have signed a declaration of nonviolence.

Feiler told Army Radio on Tuesday that if Israel has information about specific suspects, it should pass it along to flotilla's organisers.

Israeli military spokesperson Major Avital Leibovich on Monday cited intelligence reports saying extremists in the flotilla have "dangerous incendiary chemicals" for use against Israeli forces.

Israel says it will block any attempt to breach the naval blockade of the Palestinian territory.

  • j4truth - 2011-06-28 11:09

Ha Ha how childish. Take your flotilla to Syria where they need you and stop causing trouble with Israel You're just a lawless troublemaker suckered by jihad propaganda!

      Krush - 2011-06-28 11:31

There is nothing peaceful about rebellion or lawlessness. Israel has always stuck to their word. If you cross their territories illegally don't be alarmed if you get killed - they have warned you.

      The huntchback - 2011-06-28 11:43

Well, soon Israell`s lawlessnes and Israel`s rebelion will be repayed in full.

      JT4 - 2011-06-28 11:50

@huntchback, what are you talking about? 'lawlessness' and 'rebellion', the state has laws and there are no rebels ...

      Rover_ZA - 2011-06-28 12:16

@Krush That's a moot point when the territory in question is disputed.

      jowza - 2011-06-28 12:26

j4truth.keep searching, you have not found truth yet

      TheWally - 2011-06-28 12:52

lol... you want to see what the meaning of propaganda is. Maybe you should watch Isreali television ads like this one in Isreal:

      Zanu - 2011-06-28 15:25

Maybe the Muslims should sit back and reflect about why they keep on losing wars. The crux is that Allah wants Israel to exist and stay strong - which is why Israel will never lose a war. The Qur'an relates the words by which Moses ordered the Israelites to conquer the Land:"And [remember] when Moses said to his people: 'O my people, call in remembrance the favour of God unto you, when he produced prophets among you, made you kings, and gave to you what He had not given to any other among the peoples. O my people, enter the Holy Land which God has assigned unto you, and turn not back ignominiously, for then will ye be overthrown, to your own ruin.'" [Qur'an 5:20-21] Moreover - and those who try to use Islam as a weapon against Israel always conveniently ignore this point - the Holy Qur'an explicitly refers to the return of the Jews to the Land of Israel before the Last Judgment - where it says: "And thereafter We [Allah] said to the Children of Israel: 'Dwell securely in the Promised Land. And when the last warning will come to pass, we will gather you together in a mingled crowd.'" [Qur'an 17:104] To all Muslims please read your Qur'an (The land was put aside for the Jews your Qur'an says so)

      Truthseeker2 - 2011-06-28 18:46

Allah (Almighty God) has promised the holy land to those who act with justice. It's quite clear that the Askhenazi jews who set up the imposter state of Israel in 1948 are characterised by sheer oppression and tranny. Their reign will not last long for ultimately truth and justice always prevails. It's quite clear that the Jews in control of the holy land are preparing the world for the advent of their Messiah which in reality is the Antichrist/Great Deceiver. God willing, the second coming of the true Messiah Jesus (peace be upon him) is around the corner. With God's we will root out the oppression that's currenty being meted out in the Holy Land and the rest of the world.

  • Ripley - 2011-06-28 11:22

"We wont harm troops" and "the cheque is in the mail". LOL !!!

  • GT - 2011-06-28 11:39

Are there 2 sides of a conflict anywhere else that deserve each other more? Chosen people fighting about what God gave what to who, when. As both sides have said, so long as it remains a religious fight, it will never be solved.

      Vaal Donkie - 2011-06-28 11:57

You sure it's not about land at all?

      Zee - 2011-06-28 12:00

  • Jay - 2011-06-28 12:02

well i won't feel sorry for anyone on a Flotilla deliberately sailing into an armed area. Would any country's army allow that? NO is the answer. why should Israel allow it then. Next we'll say Cuban forces are allowed to sail along to visit Lady Liberty! No way.

      Normaldude - 2011-06-28 12:10

How narrow minded can you get Lol. Pleeze go back to sleep cause its seems you from Gaga Land

      suj - 2011-06-28 12:13

      Vaal Donkie - 2011-06-28 12:22

The globalists don't like it when a country isn't affraid to handle its own affairs.

      Tolerant - 2011-06-28 12:26

Suj, as far as I remember, Israel was given permision by UN in 1947? to take the country?

      Onnest - 2011-06-28 12:43

@ Tolerant: That resolution did not include Gaza...that was illegally occupied. get your facts straight

      Zanu - 2011-06-28 13:01

Onnest You mean Israel was illegally attacked, the Arabs lost the war and Israel was left with Gaza (that belonged to Egypt previously) and the West Bank which belonged to Jordan... surprisingly Jordan didn’t want the West Bank, and Egypt wanted Sinai back without Gaza - I wonder why! Even today the Palestinians are used by the racist Arab world as pawns against Israel. Iran controls terrorist Hamas, while a more peaceful PA is controlled by the Saudi Kingdom.

      Tolerant - 2011-06-28 13:55

I was speaking of the country Israel, Gaza was only taken after Israel was attacked by theire neighbours.

  • Teal - 2011-06-28 12:19

I don't blame Israel for not trusting those COWARDS that hide among civilians. All Israel ask is to check all goods going into Gaza first, because their government who CONSTANTLY attack Israel are internationally regarded as TERRORISTS!

      jowza - 2011-06-28 12:25

      and we wonder why

      Teal - 2011-06-28 12:33

@jowsa..if HAMAS were so concerned about the "people and their land" they would not use them as human shields. As soon as your own population becomes expendable "for the cause" it becomes about your own agenda...again..Terrorists

      TheWally - 2011-06-28 12:48

funny, because EVIDENCE actually has it that the IDF were using the palestinian women and children as human shields go read the INDEPENDENT GOLDSTEIN REPORT

      Teal - 2011-06-28 13:05

@theWally.. Uh, not even President Mahmoud Abbas could deny that the report was dodgy to say the least.

      Teal - 2011-06-28 13:10

oh yes, Goldstone recanted, because he made the report without all the EVIDENCE!

      Zanu - 2011-06-28 13:11

Wally. Why don’t you ask Goldstein himself who retracted the comment - he must of confused Hamas uniform to that of the IDF uniform. Hamas is at fault for every single death that has taken place in cast lead in 2009 – due to their firing of missiles years before Israel retaliated.

      TheWally - 2011-06-28 14:02

once again, are you referring to these missiles?

      Paco7 - 2011-06-28 15:50

the only COWARDS are the flithy swine Israeli soldiers that kill innocent women and children cos they too scared to fight real men

  • Saul - 2011-06-28 12:35

some indisputable facts: (with respect to all) 1) The Palestinian Liberation Organization, known today as The Palestinian Authority, was founded in 1964 at a time when the "occupied territories" were under Jordanian control. There was not one Jewish settlement in the territories, nor any Jewish "occupation." Yet the charter of the PLO from 1964 till this very day states as its goal "the destruction of Israel."

  • Saul - 2011-06-28 12:36

What compelled Israel in 1967 to capture the territories? Five Arab countries-Jordan, Syria, Egypt, Iraq and Lebanon joined by Saudi Arabia-contrived a plan to annihilate Israel and "drive the Jews into the sea." Israel fought back and won the war, including the territories from which they were attacked. Israel never sought to occupy the West Bank, East Jerusalem, the Golan Heights, or Gaza. The war which brought about the "occupation" was thrust upon Israel. Yet this crucial point is almost never conveyed in the international and American press. Keep in mind that in 1967 the Arabs controlled 99.9 percent of the Middle East lands. Israel represented less than one-tenth of 1 percent of the land mass. But even that was too much for the Arabs. They wanted it all. No matter how many land concessions the Israelis make, it will never be enough.

      Matt - 2011-06-28 15:48

So if I understand that correctly, the Arabs attacked Israel and Israel not only kept them out of Israel, but also managed to "win" their territories? And how did they do that without actually going to those territories and saying "oi, this is ours now"?

      Matt - 2011-06-28 15:55

Not knocking Israel there, I'd just like to know... you'd think the Arabs have enough sand to go around without wanting some more

  • Saul - 2011-06-28 12:37

During the summer of 2000 at Camp David, Yasser Arafat was offered by Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak 98 percent of the "occupied territories" and a first time ever Palestinian state with its capital in East Jerusalem. Arafat rejected the Israeli offer and initiated 20 months of bloodshed in Israel. Arafat pocketed every Israeli concession, turned his territory into an armed camp and then launched a vicious terror war that has lasted more than three years and killed more than 1,000 Israelis. 4) In the summer of 2005, Israel withdrew completely from Gaza, which it obtained in the 1967 war. Not even on an inch of land remained under Israeli occupation. The then Prime Minister Ariel Sharon believed that with not a single Jew left in Gaza and with the Israeli occupation over, the Arabs living there would now be driven to create a functioning state, and security would increase for both sides. Alas, the exact opposite occurred. Hamas swept into Gaza and turned it into a terrorist infrastructure, with a clear objective: to destroy Israel. The result was increased rocket attacks from unoccupied Gaza targeting Israeli civilians on a daily basis. The widespread notion that the murder of Jews in Israel has anything to do with the "occupied territories" is a myth. The territories are merely being used as a justification to exterminate Jews and destroy their land.

  • Saul - 2011-06-28 12:37

Question: Still, why can't Israel demonstrate goodwill by putting an end to the "occupation" and declaring Palestinian statehood? This would foster hope and put an end to the psychology of violence. Answer: For one to demand this gesture from Israel one needs to be either foolish or cruel. It is akin to demanding that a person with cancer give his malignant tumor uncontrolled rein in one part of his body. Such a "gesture" would secure his death. Arab terror, just like the terror we experienced on 9/11, is a cancer. The thousands of fighters in the territories are not opposing Israel's right to a particular piece of land. They don't recognize Israel's right to any of the land. They do not recognize Israel's right to exist. To make peace with cancer is an act of war; to declare war against cancer is an act of peace.

  • Saul - 2011-06-28 12:38

To call Israel occupiers of the West Bank and Eastern Jerusalem is akin to calling the U.S. occupiers of New Jersey. First and foremost, the Bible-a book embraced by billions of Muslims and Christians as the word of G-d-states clearly that the entire country, including the West Bank, Gaza and Jerusalem, is G-d's eternal gift to the Jewish people. Read the Bible and draw your own conclusion. The borders of Jordan were established in 1946 and Kuwait in 1961. To state that Israel "robbed" the Palestinian people from their homeland is simply not true.

  • Saul - 2011-06-28 12:39

Question: The Arabs claim that they are fighting against the brutal Israeli occupation, which has stripped them from their dignity and humanity. Answer: It would be foolish to claim that "Israel never did any wrong" to Arabs living throughout the territories. Of course, Israel has made errors. Yet the fact remains that the Arabs living under Israeli rule enjoyed more civil rights than Arabs living in almost any Arab state. The Arab press in the West Bank has been among the liveliest and freest in the Arab world, and it routinely attacks its "occupier." When was the last time a Syrian, Iraqi, Libyan or Saudi publicly attacked one of his or her leaders? How is Syria treating its protesters as I write? And Iran? And Libya?

  • Zanu - 2011-06-28 12:50

The world is a fickle place -- Anti-Semitism hasn't gone away; it's merely morphed into hatred of Israel. The Jews will never be "loved". The world will love the Jews greatly were they to roll over and die, and that is not going to happen. I'm with Machiavelli -- it is far, far better to be feared than to be loved.

      Paco7 - 2011-06-28 16:17

u are mistaken,u not feared but despised because u hide behind the American military and their allies

Now History will show that, that was a BIG lie as the Mosque this guy says he went to did not exist at that time. STOP saying that Israel belong to Islam cause history says It's not but above all the Qur'an confirms this

Hmm, there are Jews on the Flotilla. This reminds me back in the Apartheid days when the whites were fighting next to the non-whites to achieve democracy for all. This democracy they were fighting for is a democracy where everyone gets treated the same. These Jews that are on these Flotillas are the Nelson Mandelas of today. Striving for what is right regardless of the consequences because they cant stand for what is right. Unfortunately the moral fibre of society today has decreased quite substantially to the point where WE are all blinded by the truth and just care about ourselves and not others. I salute the 'soldiers of today' that are on those Flotillas and fighting for what is right!!!

Madiba would not have to be on your stupid boat. Have your read Hamas's Charter? It goes a little like this; "bla bla bla kill all the Jews... bla bla bla destroy Israel and drown every men women and child the in the sea..." All the Palestinians have to do is renounce terror, but instead they have been fundamentally brainwashed that death is better then life. As long as they love death more than they love life, they will unfortunately find death - which is why they on a boat, about to commit suicide.

      TheWally - 2011-06-28 14:10

there was Rabbi's, priests and holocaust survivors on the first flotilla and there are EVEN MORE on this convoy... The Zionist Isreali's treats holocausts survivors like dogs, holocausts survivors are even all listed in a book at Ben Gurion Airport in Isreal as terrorists. If you dont believe me then take a holocaust survivor with you to Ben Gurion Airport yourself and see what happens Zionist have hijacked the Jewish religion. Jews who are supporting Isreal are ignorant of there religion: maybve they should be educated by there Jewish brother who are leaders and educated in the Torah: below are the true Jews that are enlightened-

      TheWally - 2011-06-28 14:13

much to the contrary Romans8, they are saving the Jewish people from the Zionist Atheists refer to the links above and educate yourself

@ TheWally - while you're at it, add this link too: I don't think that most Jews would ever agree with what is written here, but what is written here is quoted from the Talmud... scary stuff. Apparently all goyim must be exterminated... (and btw I'm not anti-Jew, in case that is what comes across)

      TheWally - 2011-06-28 14:31

@Matt: the reason i added those specific links is because i wanted to show people that its not the Muslims who are always saying things like these, Its Jews (educated jews at that) who are opposed to Israel's actions and angry at the Zionist for hijacking the Jewish religion

      Matt - 2011-06-28 15:14

@ TheWally - I am quite sure there are people from both camps that have evil intent. Back to the Talmud - so both the Muslim Koran, as well as the Jewish Talmud, call for the killing of those who don't believe the same thing as themselves...

The Muslims aren't happy! They're not happy in Gaza. They're not happy in Egypt. They're not happy in Libya. They're not happy in Morocco. They're not happy in Iran. They're not happy in Iraq. They're not happy in Yemen. They're not happy in Afghanistan. They're not happy in Pakistan. They're not happy in Syria. They're not happy in Lebanon. And where are they happy? @ Zanu - coming from England and growing up in Holland... I have to agree with you. That nasty cleric Abu Hamza is in the UK spouting hatred yet sponges off the dole... in Bristol there was a case when I lived there; a British butcher (there for generations) in a part of the city that has become rather Muslim - they tried to force him out of the area because he wasn't halaal - when they failed, they tried anything they could to have him bankrupted... if this was downtown Riyadh they may have a point, but this was in downtown Bristol, UK...

      TheWally - 2011-06-28 15:46

@Matt, please go purchase a Quran and read it, im sure you will be surpised that there is a whole chapter called the Chapter of Jesus aswell as an entire Chapter dedicated to his Mother (Mary) and the chapter is even named in her honour. Prophet Moses is even the most mentioned of GODs Prophets in the Quran. It takes nothing more than reading the Quran for yourself and then making informed educated statements thereof. Please do not go to Anti-Islamic websites for research as you will do a disservice to your own knowledge. Instead read the book yourself and see what GOD says in there and you decide in the end, ... its that simple

      Matt - 2011-06-28 16:37

@ TheWally - facepalm! 1) the one site I provided a link for was about the bad things written in the Talmud, which to my knowledge should actually make you smile... 2) Would that be the same book that also claims the Christian Trinity is God, Mary and Joseph?

  • Zanu - 2011-06-28 13:14

If the Jews had not fought back against the Arab armies and had been destroyed in 1948, they would have received the most beautiful eulogies throughout the world. Instead, they chose to stand their ground and defend themselves. And in winning, they received the world's condemnation. Golda Meir said she would take the condemnation over the eulogies.

If they were impartial people who were genuinely concerned about the welfare of the Palestinians who needed aid, fair enough. But they carry the Palestinian flag on their breasts (at least the SA crew who were on SABC News...), they are deliberately sailing with the intent of disembarking on Israeli territory. Why not just fly the aid to Jordan and transport it from there by road? Why the need to go via Israel and stir up trouble?

      TheWally - 2011-06-28 14:35

@Matt, if you did abit of research you would knolw that this was tried already only to be turned down at the borders. Some of the Muslim leaders are mere puppets of the Zionist regime and are morrally corrupt. The Muslim people which they oppress are rising up though and toppling there Puppet leaders much to the fear of the Zionist

      Zanu - 2011-06-28 15:22

Peace could have been achieved several times in the last 60 odd years, if it was not ruined by a small number of bad leaders (Arafat) that rode the gravy train while their people suffered on Israel's self defence policy. Today Hamas/ PA are so financially rich that any advances in peace with Israel would mean an end to financial support from Iran / US, EU, World bank; respectively.
