Iraq PM condemns Syria 'massacre'

Baghdad - Iraq's prime minister on Saturday condemned the killing of more than 150 people in a central Syrian town two days ago, describing the deaths as an "ugly massacre".

"The ugly massacre that took place in Treimsa town, in Hama province, provokes feelings of concern and condemnation," Nouri al-Maliki said in a statement published on his official website.

"This reprehensible crime, which we condemn strongly... should be an additional incentive for everyone to abandon the methods of violence, murder, revenge and terrorism in solving problems," Maliki said.

He said the killings should urge people to accelerate finding a peaceful solution to the 16-month-long Syrian crisis.

The killings on Thursday have sparked an international outcry, and added urgency to deadlocked Security Council negotiations on a Syria resolution.

Iraq, which has a 600km border with Syria, has voiced support for a peaceful solution to the Syrian crisis which initially began in February 2011.

Assad must keep riding, day and night, his tiger. The moment he alights, it will tear him to shreds. It happened with Gadaffi.

It's hard to imagine why you would want this. Heartless really. Patrick is plain delusional. That's easier to understand. He has a core anti-West belief system that leads him in the wrong direction.

      Case in point

Patrick, Hahahahahahahaahah, "Now listen here Mary, if you don't phone me back, I will take it you don't love me" Hahahahahahahahahaa .

Really , how did the 'west' start the Syrian uprising ? Must have been quite a campaign in the ME to start all these revolutions. Probably had nothing to do with exposure to the rest of the world via internet and social networking , something these totalitarian states don't try block at all! You cannot really say that Iraq is in a worse position now than under Saddam with a straight face (if so on what basis?).

The hundreds of thousands of lives altered by car bombs and suicide attacks in Iraq have been caused by Jihadists, not the freer world. Patrick doesn't understand this because he holds an immature anti-West core belief that distorts the reality he sees. To him the Arab Spring, which has seen one hundred million Muslims liberate themselves from decades of oppression at the hands of unelected and cruel dictators, is a bad thing caused by the West.

It's nice to have a normal response from an Iraqi Prime Minister. I can imagine what the narcissistic nut Saddam Hussein and his cruel sons would have said.

Wow ,Al-qaeda running Iraq .....some more outright lies.
