Islamic ban on cross-dressing to stay

2012-10-11 19:09

Kuala Lumpur - A Malaysian court on Thursday rejected an appeal by four male Muslims that called for a review of an Islamic law prohibiting men from dressing like women.

A High Court in Negeri Sembilan state, 55km south of Kuala Lumpur, ruled that since the petitioners were Muslims and were born males, they must adhere to the law because it is part of their religion.

The four petitioners have been arrested and fined several times by Islamic police for dressing like women.

The court rejected the argument of the petitioners that the law should not apply to them because they have been diagnosed with gender identity disorder.

Why does this article have a heading that states \islamic ban..\ Why does it not say \malaysian ban..\? Why didn't I see an article that there was a Christian ban on the Spear painting? (O_o)

      LanfearM - 2012-10-12 09:27

Because it was only banned because the majority of the population in Malaysia are muslim. The Spear ban had nothing to do with religion at all, it was because the Zumer was offended, it was political, not religious. Are you being deliberately obtuse? Just to try and score some obscure point?

lets all attack the muslims again...you guys on the day of reckoning will cry for help...we'll see who's right and who's wrong

      LanfearM - 2012-10-12 09:26

Oh really? Poor little muslims, always being "attacked"! You sound the christians who always bleat they are being "persecuted" And yes, why don't we all wait untill we are dead to see who was right and who was wrong? Leave judgement to your god, it is not your place to do so here on earth. So stop the oppression of and violence against women in Islamic countries. It is ugly, immoral and evil, the way many muslims treat women.

      LanfearM - 2012-10-12 10:42

I can only laught at the thumbs down! ROFL! The religious ALWAYS say we will burn in hell and "just wait you will be judged" and so forth. But tell them that we all must wait and we'll see when we die, and stop judging people in life here and now, and they freak out. LOL

Cross-dressing is fine with me, as long as women do not start growing beards.
