Belgrade - The death toll from a Romanian bus crash in Montenegro rose to 18 on Monday, with 30 injured, some critically, Montenegrin state television RTCG reported.

The names of the victims are due to be released later in the day.

The bus driving 46 tourists to the Adriatic coastal resort of Budva veered off the road on a bridge, broke through the guardrail and tumbled into a 40m deep ravine.

The accident occurred on the busy and notoriously dangerous Kolasin-Podgorica road.

Montenegro's coast is a summer holiday destination for hundreds of thousands of visitors from the region each year.
