Republican convention race row - 2 ejected

2012-08-29 22:13

Tampa - Two people were ejected from the Republican National Convention for throwing nuts at an African-American camera operator for CNN and telling her: "This is how we feed animals," the cable network said.

The incident happened on Tuesday in the Tampa Bay Times Forum where delegates officially nominated Mitt Romney as the Republican candidate to face President Barack Obama in the 6 November election.

"Two attendees tonight exhibited deplorable behaviour. Their conduct was inexcusable and unacceptable. This kind of behaviour will not be tolerated," CNN quoted the convention as saying in a statement.

Many witnesses saw the incident and RNC security and police immediately removed the two people from the forum, CNN said.

Openly racist, they belief women that are raped may not have abortions ( for all sorts of non-sensical reasons ) - why does the US even consider voting Republican!!?

      Gooch83 - 2012-08-29 23:24

I mean...what the hell is a 'legitimate rape'...they are racist, have only giving back to the wealthy in mind and they think after a recession people want them back in power so they can do their rubbish and deplete the countries finances again? Republicans are drunk!

      "They"? All Republicans? Surely not.

Well said Adi. It is tu;ly horrific that US democracy and the Republican Party has sunk to such lows that guys like Romney should even be considered worthy of anyone's vote. The GOP has become captive of fascists and brain dead religious fundamentalists.

Why do you judge all republicans when 2 out of over 20000 delegates were removed because they are sickening racists... I’m not a republican backer, however adil your generalisations are no better then those two racists... any extreme is too extreme...conservatives or leftists.

@jaba.kov: most republicans in general are that way. Unfortunately the good amongst them are painted with the same brush. The one thing that I cannot understand is why do Blacks in America support the republicans knowing what the majority is like?

republican or democrat it doesnt matter, what counts is the running man, ron paul should have been ahead of romney, but they wouoldnt let that happen, ron paul is a republican and id vote for him even if he was on the other side, its about the person, wake up

For an first world country are the Republicans certainly from the ice age. My support is all the way for Obama

this is massively disgusting: to think that there are still people that carry the mentality of slave trade and colonialism within their minds shows lack of civilization we expect to get from a country categorized as a first world nation.
