2012-08-11 14:03

Virgina - White House candidate Mitt Romney has chosen Republican Representative Paul Ryan as his running mate, the Romney campaign announced early on Saturday.

The selection was first announced in a brief email message sent by the campaign to reporters said that Romney-Ryan was the Republican ticket.

It was soon followed by a statement from the campaign that said that "Mitt Romney today announced Wisconsin Representative Paul Ryan as his vice presidential running mate".

No other comments were made. The announcement was followed by a brief Ryan biography.

Ryan's selection will be officially announced at 13:00 during a prime photo opportunity at the USS Wisconsin, a decommissioned World War II-era battleship that also saw service during Operation Desert Storm in 1991.

You can be sure that this guy is uber religious fundie crazy in an attempt to attract the Tea Party bible belt vote. Romney and the Rethuglicans have yet to realise religion is on the way out in the developed world. I agree with MemeMan that Obama has certainly not delivered all he promised but he is a way better option than the Flintstones.

Actually Paul is a fiscal conservative who wants to curb spending inter alia by repealing aspects of Obamacare. His line has nothing to do with religion. But hey, why let the facts stand in the way of your assumptions? BTW, the deficit has increased by $6 trillion under Barry's stewardship. But he does get some credit for busting a cap in Bin Laden's butt, so I'm still undecided.

At least he has more than a std 3 education. Considering that, we should shut up here form the southern tip of darkest Efrika.

Pierre austerity is not the solution. That's the way David Cameron has been going the past two years and they're now in a double-dip recession

Memelman back to the basement bud. You know nothing about American politics. Focus on that Grade 6 fellow you have in power. I hear he is a real brain surgeon, or perhaps your future president Malema

@Abe So what qualifies you to be an expert? Just asking!

One man (Romney) believes G-d was once a man and that he will become a God. The other (Ryan) believes a priest can turn a cracker into his God. If faith as at the core of one's being, then both are suspect.

These are the kind of evangelical fruitcakes who want armageddon and rapture aligning their interests with Zionists who want to bring about the coming of the messiah. An American version of the Taliban.

I don't believe in left/right politics. I am a libertarian and believe that individual freedom and liberty trumps all other causes. I don't believe that politics can solve any serious problem. I don't believe a self respecting person can support or vote for the 'lesser of two evils', whether its Obama or Romney. there is no difference. its the presidential reality show. no self respecting person can associate with the lesser of two evils this explains it:
