Warsaw - The spokesperson for Warsaw's main international airport says a Turkish Airlines Boeing 777-300 with 332 people on board safely made an emergency landing at the airport.

Przemyslaw Przybylski said on Thursday that the passengers were evacuated at Frederic Chopin airport and airport services were checking the plane. He would not say what caused the emergency landing of the passenger jet that had been en route from Istanbul to San Francisco.

TVN24 said a suspicious package was spotted on board.
