Kirksville - A US man is accused of killing and dismembering a man and then throwing his victim's arms at witnesses.

The Adair County prosecutor's office in Missouri has charged 49-year-old Paul R Potter with second-degree murder, second-degree arson and tampering with a motor vehicle.

Police have not released the victim's name.

Police officers arrested Potter on Sunday after officers responding to a call of a vehicle fire saw him throw the arms at bystanders. Police said fires also were burning in two apartments and the dismembered body was inside one of them.

Potter is being held on $1m bond.

A public defender didn't immediately return a call seeking comment on Tuesday.

Sicko!!! No wonder the bail is so high, although not too sure why it is second-degree murder and arson and not first-degree. This really is a sad world we live in :(

Because a charge, in the second degree, is more serious than, first degree.

If you ever consider moving to Missouri be aware of the HUGE horde of sub-humans infesting the place. And the amount of HARD drugs being consumed is staggering... drugs of the type too often leading to extreme violence. The amount of alcohol guzzled down is another thing to beware. The slack-jowled yokels commence fighting, stabbing and shooting then drive away at high speeds and those they run into with the speeding car or truck pay the price. And the "leaders" of this state wonder why those graduating college here tend to leave and why they are unable to attract industry, businesses, etc. HAH!!!!!!!! Only a fool would move here!!!!
