Witness: US priest stalked, undressed me

Philadelphia - A witness in a US priest abuse trial says a priest stalked and undressed him at his Catholic school, before a knock on the door saved him.

The 36-year-old is the first accuser called to testify in the landmark trial of Monsignor William Lynn.

Lynn, the former secretary for clergy in the Philadelphia archdiocese, is charged with endangering children by helping the church hide abuse complaints.

The witness testified on Wednesday that the priest saw him at a gay book store in 1991 wearing a school jacket and later showed up at the school.

A 2005 grand jury report says the archdiocese knew of his complaint and others and moved the priest six times to new parishes.

The report says the priest was removed from ministry in 2003 amid the criminal investigation.

"A 2005 grand jury report says the archdiocese knew of his complaint and others and moved the priest six times to new parishes". The Catholic Church, a world-wide criminal enterprise to the core of their shriveled toxic and twisted hearts. The Mafia in frocks! The same methods are employed by both organisations, in fact I believe the Mafia learned their tricks from the Catholic church. Fear Extortion Intimidation Protection racket Well not everything. The Mafia at least respected and protected children.

No, its an old story that has reached court. Hopefully it will seriously kick the RCC into action to do something in future. Hopefully it will also make parents wary enough to monitor their children in ALL situations. Hope he gets a serious jail sentence.

It is not just the Catholic Christian brand. All the Xian cults are up to it. The Associated Press reported recently that three insurance companies receive upward of 260 reports each year of young people under 18 being sexually abused by Protestant clergy, challenging the assumption that clergy sexual abuse is an exclusively Catholic problem that does not take place in other churches. That is a higher number than the annual average of 228 “credible accusations” brought against Catholic clerics in records reported by the Catholic Church in response to media scrutiny, a priest observed in a Fox News commentary questioning why the story isn’t garnering more attention. While the report about abuse in Protestant churches doesn’t absolve guilty Catholic priests or those who enabled them, said Father Jonathan Morris, it offers a more complete picture. “The problem of sexual abuse has no denominational boundaries,” he wrote. The AP obtained figures on sex-abuse claims from three companies that insure the majority of Protestant churches in America–Church Mutual Insurance Company, GuideOne Insurance and Brotherhood Mutual Insurance Company.

Quite ironic, as the christians say 'jesus saves'. This time it was a case of a doorbell saving them from jesus (well, his representative on earth, anyway).

Seriously, the RCC will either have to make the vow of celibacy optional or castration mandatory for men entering the priesthood. Even with my (extremely) poor church attendance lately, I still can't help but feel bad for The Church I was raised in when such things happen.

Celibacy will never be stopped in the church of rome. It was originally put into place not because of any higher spiritual reason, but solely so that priests would remain unmarried, (only as part of the bride of christ - soundsa bit gay to me)which meant upon death, any and all possesions would be left to the church, and not to a spouse. Besides, most rc priests idea of a happy marriage is living in a dark musty seminary cellar, with fifteen pre-pubescent choirboys.

@SubGenius You mention "most rc priests" in your post. Does that mean you know ALL rc priests that you are able to come to this conclusion.
