US school bans hugging

Aberdeen Township - More than 900 students at a New Jersey middle school have been told no more hugging.

The district says Matawan-Aberdeen Middle School Principal Tyler Blackmore made an announcement that students were in a "no hugging school" following some "incidents of unsuitable, physical interactions".

School Superintendent David Healy says the district has the responsibility to teach children about appropriate interactions.

The superintendent says despite the rule, students who hug will not be suspended.

The superintendent says he believes the principal acted responsibly.

Students range in ages from 11 to 14 in grades six to eight.

So basically...teaching children not to show affection for one another? In the long run, what is this going to achieve? is modern society being taught that 'love thy neighbor', is the wrong way to go about our lives? that close friends must not get too close? this world is becoming a very sour place! LOVE ONE ANOTHER FFS!

Imposing your beliefs on others much?

Muhammed, nip what in the bud exactly, human nature?

Yes, excellent, then we can all be as sexually repressed as the followers of the religion of peace...

Next headline: "US school bans smiling". Principal states that smiling at another person 'emotionally damages' more sensitive children who may misconstrue a smile as the 'other kids laughing at them'. Teachers believe the Principal acted responsibly.
