As if beaches, campsites and pools aren’t enough, people can also dine in the nude at a new Parisian restaurant.
Following big openings in London and Tokyo in 2016, Paris finally has its own restaurant where diners can dig into their food in the nude.
The restaurant, aptly named O’Naturel, is open to the public on Fridays and was inspired by members of the Paris Naturist Association who were invited to the opening in November.
Yves Leclerc, the president of the French Naturist Federation, said he was thrilled at the idea of being able to strip down for dinner.
"We're in the heart of Paris and we're eating naked. It's a little surreal," he told the Daily Mail.
Upon arrival, guests are asked to remove their clothing and place them in the restaurant’s wardrobes.
Diners need not fret about their privacy as the restaurant makes use of heavy-duty curtains – preventing passers-by from catching a glimpse, according to the Mirror.
Local residents are completely unbothered by the new establishment. One of the residents told Daily Mail: “It doesn't bother me at all, or my neighbours.
“We don't see anything from the street. We know what's happening. It's not a massage parlour.”
Owners Mike and Stephane Saada told Le Parisien that they aren’t nudists. The pair merely saw it as a business opportunity.
O’Naturel also reminds guests that it’s a restaurant and not an opportunity for any funny business. Dinner is only available for those with a reservation.
Reactions have been predictably mixed.
