This 11-year-old boy narrowly escaped death.

That’s what doctors told Aaron Davis (34) after his son, Morgan Davis, was flung from his bike into a brick wall.

The horrific accident left the schoolboy hospitalised with a shattered nose, fractured cheekbones and left eye socket, reports Mirror News.

“Morgan was cycling home from school,” Aaron says.

“He was in the road and saw a car coming. It’s a single lane with cars parked down it so he moved onto the pavement.

“His front wheel hit the curb, his back wheel hit a stone and then he hit the wall.

“He came over the handlebars and hit the wall face first.”

Thanks to a kind stranger who rushed the little boy to hospital, Aaron was already stitched and bandaged up by the time his concerned dad arrived, reports Metro News.

According to The Sun, Morgan is still in hospital and will need reconstructive surgery to repair his nose and will be fed through a syringe for at least two weeks due to his injuries.

The relieved dad decided to post the bloodied pictures on Facebook after doctors told him that if it wasn’t for the helmet he was wearing at the time of the horrific incident, Aaron wouldn’t be alive.

Aaron has now appealed to all parents to ensure that their children wear a helmet when riding their bicycles.

“We want people to be aware helmets are not just for show,” Aaron says.

“My kids don’t have a choice – they don’t go on bikes without it.”
