She confessed to praying before throttling her son to “save him from people that were coming after [them]”, according to the news station KCPQ.

After the shocking killing on Halloween, Amber James was arrested carrying two cloves of garlic and a vial of 'Holy water', according to police.

The mom from Washington in the US was adamant during her admission that her son Ryan Rosales needed protection.

“She had described [her son] as the best kid in the world,” reports said.

“She stated she had prayed, thought about it, cried and then put her hands around his throat so he couldn't breathe any longer.”

Amber (47) allegedly didn’t shed a tear while relaying the story.

According to the New York Post, Amber had contacted 911 days before the incident to report that cars and aeroplanes were following her.

“Authorities were contacted again on Tuesday when the boy’s father discovered the nine-year-old had blue lips and was unresponsive.”

According to the Mirror UK, Amber had red marks on her neck "where little Ryan had apparently fought back.”

She was taken for a mental health evaluation, but experts found she had no further mental health issues except for the anxiety she had been taking medication for.

“Above the child's bed she had scrawled messages including ‘Harvest’, ‘Spaywar’, ‘Greed kills’, ‘sex trade’, ‘God is coming’, No pedo’, and ‘Michael=Devil’, “ KCPQ reported.

She also told police she had been watching political conspiracy videos on YouTube.

Amber has since been charged with second-degree murder.
