A man has sued his unfaithful wife after finding out he isn't the father of her 8-year-old son.

The man, whose name hasn't been released in order to protect the child, reportedly wants his estranged wife to pay back "every penny" he's spent on the youngster, who was fathered by someone the woman had an affair with, a court in London heard, Mirror reports.

The husband also reportedly wants damages to compensate for the distress he's endured and hopes his wife tells the young boy who his biological father is.

But his wife reportedly isn't willing to reveal the name of the man and refuses to tell the child who his dad is, The Sun reports.

At the family division of the court, the judge in the matter, Justice Cohen, revealed the man was heartbroken and angry when he discovered he wasn't the boy's father.

The judge will reportedly be making a ruling following a further hearing, Metro reports.
