SEE: Social media makes a mockery of Trump painting

There is no doubt that US President Donald Trump considers himself one of the greatest Republican leaders, and the painting hanging in the White House is proof of this.

In the art piece The Republican Club by Andy Thomas, Trump is joined by former Republican leaders such as Richard Nixon, Teddy Roosevelt, Abraham Lincoln, and George W. Bush.

The painting depicts a group of past and present Republican leaders chatting around a table, seemingly having a good time and sharing drinks, AFP reports.

Trump, however, seems to be sporting a soda, as he does not drink.

This painting was first spotted during an interview with the US president on 60 Minutes which aired on Sunday.

It soon sparked social media mockery.

Editor and Twitter user Josh Billinson first tweeted a screenshot of the interview after catching a glimpse of the painting, stating "oh my god, it's hanging in the white house" (sic), adding that "it's not photoshop".
