There have been more than 113 000 confirmed cases of the coronavirus worldwide.

Hospitals scrambling to cope with the virus outbreak are hard-put to handle their normal caseload, especially when personnel come down with virus too.

More than 3 300 doctors, nurses and hospital staff in China have been infected with the virus, and at least 13 have died, according to official statistics as of March 4.

China remains the hardest-hit overall with more than 80 000 cases and 3 000 deaths, out of a global total of 117 339 cases and 4 251 people dying across 107 countries and territories, according to an AFP tally.
