She was all set for her two-hour flight from Tampa to Philadelphia but before Eleanor Rigby could board the plane, she first had to make an important delivery.

Right then and there, in the buzzing Tampa International Airport, the Golden Retriever gave birth to eight adorable pups.

According to The Metro, airport paramedics were on hand to assist when Eleanor, whose nickname is Ellie, suddenly went into labour.

Larry Glanton and Lieutenant Natalie Brown helped deliver the puppies, seven males and one female, while proud dad Nugget looked on, CBS News writes.

“Ruff day for this mama at Airside F today!” Tampa International Airport wrote on its Facebook page. “Eleanor Rigby, a Golden Retriever service dog, was about to board a plane to Philly when she went into labour at Gate 80.”

Diane Van Atter, Ellie’s owner, was set to travel to Philadelphia with her stepmother, Karen James, when the unexpected three-hour delivery took place.

MSN News writes that Ellie, a service dog, is still in training to help Diane with mobility- and pain-related problems.

Karen believes Ellie experienced early labour due to the excitement of being around people in the busy airport.

Nugget was exceptionally excited during the delivery. Karen told Tampa Bay Times he could hardly contain his delight whenever Ellie popped a new puppy.

"Every time she’s ready to deliver another one he starts jumping around.”

Our hearts are melting!
