Seven relatives, including five children, were killed in a head-on collision while en route to their end-of-summer holiday.

Erika Boquet (29), from Washington in the US, and her three kids, Isabella (11), Elisabeth (8) and Tytis (6), along with another relative and her two children were on their way to Las Vegas to enjoy their family holiday on Monday 13 August when the accident occurred.

The mother of three and her kids were all pronounced dead on the scene. Her relative and two kids also died on the scene, along with the lone driver of the other vehicle, Washington Insider reports.

Erika’s devastated brother, Jessie Tate, told Oregon Live that his sister was a sociable person who adored her children.

"She was outgoing, personable, made friends everywhere she went, and her kids took after her," Jessie said. "They all just cared about everyone around them.”

Jessie started a GoFundMe page in the hopes of raising funds for funeral costs.

“Our family is at a complete loss. We’re trying to come up with enough money to bring them home and give them the proper burial they deserve.

“Erika was kind and always giving to others. Her heart was big and full of compassion. Words cannot describe how much Erika, Bella, Elisa and Tytis will be missed.”

Oregon police are currently investigating the horrific crash, Fox News reports.
