A woman who spent 10 years trying to find her birth mother finally found her – all thanks to a single tweet!

Ayu Razak (22) says she’s been looking for her biological mother since she was 12, when she found out she was adopted.

Her tweeted plea for help included a photo of her birth mother Siti Rozani.

Ayu’s tweet read: "This is all the information I have. In 1995 she worked near Shin Eats, section 26 in Shah Alam (capital of the western state of Selangor, Malaysia)."

The tweet was retweeted 19,000 times within a few hours and after just 18 hours her birth mother’s sister got directly in touch with Ayu.

Her aunt Windrawaty Binti Mudrika sent Ayu a recent picture of her birth mother and they swopped phone numbers.

Ayu contacted her birth mother and that very evening they were reunited in person.

The bride-to-be told local media she’d dreamed of finding her mother since she was 12 but had no idea how to do so at the time.

Calling her adopted mother by her nickname Ibu, she added: "Before Mama gave birth to me, she was already married and had other children.

“At the time Mama had some problems, she had to give me away to Ibu to take care of me.”

Ayu, who took Ibu along to meet her birth mom, said she felt "blessed" to now have two mothers instead of one.

“When Ibu explained everything from A to Z, I wasn’t angry. I've never scolded her as she took care of me all this time.

“She asked me if I’d leave her and return to Mama, and I said no, as she’s my mother until the end.”

Ayu, who has five brothers and sisters by birth, has now met three of them and hopes to be reunited with the other two soon.

She says she wants her biological relatives to come to her upcoming wedding though she didn’t reveal any more details about it.
