Steve Irwin’s daughter pays heartwarming tribute to her dad on 12th anniversary of his death

2018-09-04 12:55

Conservationist Steve Irwin was 44 when he died on September 2006 after being stung by a stingray in a freak incident, Telegraph reports.

The late television personality – who was famous for his daring manoeuvres with dangerous animals, particularly crocodiles – left his wife, Terri Irwin (54) and two young children, Bindi (20) and Robert Clarence Irwin (14).

Today Bindi – who was just eight years old when her dad passed away – paid tribute to her dad by sharing an old family photo of the family on Twitter, Mirror reports.

The picture’s adorably captioned, “Together Forever” and Terri retweeted her daughter’s post, Breaking News reports.

Speaking at the Steve Irwin Gala Dinner in Los Angeles in May 2018, Bindi said, “We try to continue dad’s legacy each and every day and we want to make sure everything he lived and died for continues on into the future.

“I have to tell you that I never in my wildest dreams imagined that this would become a reality and this is such an honour as a family,” she added.
