Toledo - Sheriff's records show that a man accused of abducting and killing an Ohio college student out riding her bicycle chased two boys on their bikes two years ago.

James Worley called deputies about the boys in June 2014 and later said he briefly chased them to a neighbour's house because he'd been worried about break-ins around his property west of Toledo. No charges were filed.

This week, authorities charged the 57-year-old Worley with killing 20-year-old University of Toledo student Sierah Joughin. He spent three years in prison after abducting a woman in 1990.

Search warrants say investigators found a hidden room with restraints inside Worley's barn.

Records on sheriff's runs to his home show he frequently called the department in recent years.

Worley has declined to comment.
